Donald Trump once claimed that he could stand on 5th avenue and shoot someone and he wouldn’t lose any supporters. Well, this weekend may test that thesis after the President of the United States killed a husband of four and bragged about it on live TV.
Shocking as it may seem, this really happened. Will any Trump supporters care? Will he lose any support over depriving Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi’s wives of their husband? What about bragging about his death and calling him a dog? I wouldn’t bet on it.
Baghdadi, an austere religious scholar and utopian visionary, was killed in Syria over the weekend by US special forces. Think Trump wasn’t involved? Well, think again, buttercup. The president even tweeted a photo of himself in the situation room directly supervising the operation. Mike Pence was in this photo as well, which means he could be implicated as well.
While it’s true that the President cannot be charged with a crime (even murder) while in office, once they are removed perhaps President Clinton will hold them accountable.
