We have to get murals in those damn streets now! That’s the message from a massive new study released today that traced the origin of rising crime rates to a direct lack of inspiring and anti-racist street murals.

“City mayors and state governors needs to pay attention to this,” said the study’s author, “The evidence is in. People will keep dying unless we get all those streets painted with the correct slogans and insignia. This is urgent. People are dying.”

Although largely critical of our nation’s elected officials, the study did call out Bill De Blasio’s New York City for its heartening progress on the issue. “As crime rates rise, De Blasio should continue with the work of mural painting. It’s the only way.” Wow. Great work. Thanks, Bill!
