It’s Undemocratic to Let the American People Pick the Next President

Trump is President… for now. Soon, he will be removed from office and our long national nightmare will finally be over. Sadly, there are many people who are going to do everything in their power to stop this from happening and that includes voting for him in the 2020 election. This would be a disaster for our democracy and must be avoided at all costs.

Let me be clear. Voting is a great and central feature of democracy, and I would never suggest that people not be allowed to vote but voting for Trump crosses the line. Our democracy cannot survive another term of the Trump presidency, which is why it’s so important for Congress, the senate, and the military (if necessary) to immediately remove him from office before there can be another election. Our democracy is literally at stake.

Trump may win reelection, which is why it’s undemocratic to let the American people pick the next president. The professionals in government need to step in and limit our freedom to destroy our democracy by voting for Trump.  After all, would you give a child a box of gasoline and a lighter and say, “Don’t blow yourself up, little guy!” Of course not. You would take away that option, and everyone would be much safer.
