An act of god or an act of man? When things are going right, sometimes it’s better not to ask. That’s how many Americans are feeling today after waking up to find that the city of Portland had been wiped from the face of the earth. Amazing aerial photographs capture miles of flattened, desolate earth surrounding a perfectly formed crater where Portland once was.
“They’re in a better place now,” said someone on Twitter, “Better to be in heaven than in hell on earth.”
Many seemed to echo these sentiments, although others claimed that it was some sort of tragedy that millions of innocent, mostly peaceful lives were lost in a catastrophe of immeasurable magnitude. Either way you cut it, one thing is for sure, that the newly flattened miles of earth will make one hell of a golf course once the mourning is done and all that.
